FABULA by Anka is a range of recycled jewellery. Each piece is lovingly made from vintage, thrifted, antique, reclaimed and recycled fabrics and materials with a past and their own story to tell.
FABULA is about a different shopping experience, where you give yourself time to listen to a story behind the jewellery that you like, learn how it was made and by whom. It is about finding respect for things, appreciating creativity and avoiding waste.
Mixed media remain constant in my designs, incorporating old and new, brass and silk, chains and lace, semi-precious stones and leather. I often deconstruct unwanted mass produced jewellery and rework them into contemporary pieces with a distinctive crafted vintage feel.
I trawl through second-hand shops, upholstery workshops, take unwanted stuff from interior designers and kind strangers to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are waiting to find a new loving owner.
